Are We There Yet?

Nearly. We’re nearly there…

The Sony PRS-T1 Reader

The Sony PRS-T1 Reader

Yesterday I picked up a Sony PRS-T1 reader, generously provided by Hauraki District Libraries to be used in the Ereader Petting Zoo alongside the 4 other ereaders I’ve already received.

The aim of the tour is to raise awareness of ebooks and the ease at which you can borrow them from your local library; hopefully making your summer reading pile easier to manage while on holiday or travelling.

The Ereader Petting Zoo is just a small part of each session but will provide an opportunity for participants to compare and contrast the features and ease of use of each ereader; something I have found particularly useful if you’re considering purchasing an ereader as a Christmas gift.

So now all I’ve got left to do is to make sure there is a selection of ebooks on each of the ereaders and check to see how well the media release is being picked up.

The first leg of the tour starts on Monday with sessions at Upper Hutt City Library and the War Memorial Library in Lower Hutt. Then it is a whirlwind of 11 more sessions at 6 libraries in the following 5 days.

Only 5 more sleeps! :)
